Caritas Manila has 5 main programs.
From combating malnutrition to helping Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), Caritas Manila is dedicated to helping the marginalized, with programs that address 14 out of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.
Youth Servant Leadership and Education Program (YSLEP)
Caritas Manila believes that education is the best social equalizer and the best means to overcome poverty. Through YSLEP, poor but deserving youths are given a chance to earn technical-vocational or college degrees.
Caritas Damayan
Caritas Damayan is the preventive health and disaster management program of Caritas Manila. Damayan provides emergency assistance to 50,000-100,000 families each year.
Restorative Justice (RJ)
Caritas RJ is a program of Caritas Manila aimed at healing and restoring relationships between crime offenders, their families, victims, and communities, as well as preventing crime by empowering out-of-school youth.
Institute for Servant Leadership and Stewardship (ISLaS)
ISLaS is the volunteer arm of Caritas Manila with over 5,000 volunteers across the Archdiocese of Manila who effectively and efficiently implement its various social services and development programs for the poor.
Segunda Mana
Segunda Mana is Caritas Manila’s donated goods program that converts in-kind donations into cash to help fund the education of YSLEP scholars, promote environmental conservation, and provide livelihoods to over 1,000 micro-entrepreneurs in Metro Manila.
