Caritas Margins opens today (June 9) its Buy and Give Expo 5 at the upper ground floor, Fisher Mall in Quezon Ave., cor. Roosevelt Ave., Quezon City.
Caritas Manila’s Restorative Justice Ministry priest-in-charge Rev. Fr. “Let us help the poor to help themselves by supporting the 5th Buy and Give Expo at Fisher Mall. Caritas Margins, we believe, is the social brand to help end poverty as it helps micro entrepreneurs develop and market their products,” Fr. Pascual said.
The 5th Buy and Give Expo which will run until Monday, June 12, 2017 features products from different marginalized community partners of Caritas Margins ranging from food, home and ladies accessories, personal care products, artwork from resident inmates of penal communities cared by Caritas Restorative Justice Ministry, and other gift items and decors presented on different hubs.
Proceeds of the Expo will be used to support Caritas Manila’s flagship program, Youth Servant Leadership and Education Program (YSLEP) which supports more than 5,000 youth scholars nationwide.
Caritas Margins Buy and Give Expo 5 is co-presented by Caritas Manila, TV Maria, Veritas 846, Segunda Mana, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, Cardinal Medical Charities Foundation Inc., BPI Asset Management Corporation, De La Salle University, Asia Pacific College, Saint Jude College and Seamen’s Hospital.
Caritas Margins is a social enterprise that markets products of marginalized communities & micro enterprises in the country. It also provides skills and training to the urban poor communities and marginalized sectors, as well as honing them to become social entrepreneurs.
