GMA Network donates school supplies to Caritas Manila Scholars

About 200 Caritas Manila’s Youth Servant Leadership Education Program(YSLEP) scholars will benefit from the school supplies donated by GMA Guide Interact Volunteer Educate Serve (G.I.V.E.S.), a volunteer program of the employees of GMA Network and GMA Kapuso Foundation.
“Nakikiisa po kami sa inyong layunin. Maraming salamat po sa pagbibigay ninyo sa amin ng oportunidad na makatulong sa aming kapwa”said GMA’s AVP for Corporate Affairs Ma. Teresa L. Pacis during the turn-over ceremonies held at GMA Network Center last, June 29, 2012.
GMA Network answered the call of “giving back” through the initiative of GMA Corporate Affairs.“Masaya kami na kahit paano ay nakatulong kami sa iba”shared GMA G.I.V.E.S volunteer Tracey Cruz.
Helen Oreto, the Head of Caritas Manila’s Social Development Division together with 40 YSLEP scholars represented Caritas Manila during the turn over-ceremonies.
GMA talent Mikey Bustos and Maey Baustista hosted the event while Mark Herras , Kris Bernal, and Down to Mars boyband also graced the occasion.
Caritas Manila is presently assisting more than 3,000 scholars through YSLEP. The goal of the program is to send poor but deserving youth servant leaders to school to alleviate poverty.
